Interview Insight
Growing up in California, I saw how quickly wildfires can devastate entire communities. Watching firefighters navigate these conditions made me think deeply about how the tools they rely on shape safety, awareness, and decision-making on the ground.

Our goal was to create a device that was compact, durable, and intuitive, giving team leaders quick access to critical information.

Early exploration mapped how the camera would sit in the hand, how it would be carried, and how information would be accessed in high-stress conditions, establishing a baseline for ergonomics and layout.

R1 Rough Sketches
Working closely with Fluke’s designers, we put multiple prototypes through hands-on trials and stress testing.

These studies led to adjustments for the button placement, refined the grip geometry, and reworked hand positioning to improve one-handed use.

The Fluke T.W.I.G. is designed for those high-stress environments, when clarity, speed, and reliability matter most.

Ensuring critical information is easy to read and act on in seconds.
